Welcome to my [new] blog. I’m Kirsty and I started food blogging in 2011 at theapprenticefoodie.blogspot.com as a way to document some of the successful experiments I was having in the kitchen. I’ve always enjoyed baking, but when I moved out of home; cooking quickly changed from being a chore, to a pure joy. If I ever have a rough day, I know I can go home, switch on the oven and pull something delicious together. Although for me; it’s not always about the end result, but the process of getting there.
After starting The Apprentice Foodie, I changed my lifestyle quite dramatically. As I began reading more about healthy cooking, my attitude towards food changed and I started to think more about the way in which it gets to our plates. I am now more conscious than ever of the produce industry and it’s because of this that I choose to eat ethically, locally and organically; whenever I can. I also believe cooking is a skill that should be taught to all generations. Where possible, we should be making things from scratch, using ingredients in their most natural form. Pre-packaged and processed foods are no good for our bodies or our minds!
I migrated to ‘The Natural Foodie‘ as I felt it better supported my lifestyle and the recipes I create and share with all of you.
